Almost everyone loves cookies! But sometimes, even the biggest cookie fanatic wants more from their sweet treat. But what could that possibly be?
Luckily, the folks over at A Beautiful Mess came up with the perfect solution: cookie butter. Imagine that instead of dipping cookies into things, you can now dip things into cookies. I know what you’re thinking: that sounds like meddling with the very fabric of space and time. But don’t worry, the recipe is really quite simple and (probably) won’t result in a black hole.
Here’s what you need:
- 2 cups of cookie crumbs
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup of evaporated milk
- Water as needed
First, choose your cookies.
Put your cookies into a food processor or blender.
Next, melt the butter, condensed milk, and evaporated milk together in a pot and stir until smooth.
Add it to the cookie crumbs and stir until it’s an even consistency.
This is the texture you’re aiming for, similar to a cookie dough.
If you want the cookie butter to be smoother and easier to dip things into, you can add a bit of water.
Now it’s time to go wild and dip everything in your house into cookie butter. This stuff will store nicely in a jar in the refrigerator, and it also makes a great holiday gift.

There’s a lot more you can do with cookies than just pairing them with milk:
